How I Built AI Tools That Handle 80% of My B2B Customer Inquiries — And Why I'm Sharing Them

Six months ago, I was drowning in repetitive customer emails. "How much for 500 t-shirts?" "What's your minimum order?" "How long does shipping to the US take?" Same questions. Every. Single. Day.
I'm a developer by background. So I did what any developer would do: I automated it.
The Problem
My B2B promotional products business (cdintkon.com) was getting 15-20 inquiries per day. Each one required:
- Reading the email to figure out what they wanted
- Looking up pricing in a spreadsheet
- Writing a personalized reply with a quote
- Following up if they didn't respond
This was eating 3-4 hours of my day. Time I should have been spending on client relationships and growth.
Tool #1: The AI Chatbot
First, I built a chatbot for my website. Not a generic "How can I help you?" bot — a chatbot that actually understands my products and pricing.
When a visitor types "How much for 500 caps?", it:
- Detects the product ("caps")
- Extracts the quantity ("500")
- Looks up the base price ($2.80/pc)
- Applies volume discounts
- Instantly replies: "500 caps would be ~$1,400. Want a formal quote with your logo?"
The result? The chatbot now handles 80% of customer questions without me touching a keyboard. It works 24/7, in multiple languages, and never gets tired.
